[WinMac] Hanging G3

Thanks for everybody's previous help. Please ignore the signature at the
bottom of this post (if there is one) as my server automatically appends it
to my message without my control. At least that's my story and I'm sticking
to it (any Colin Rae fans out there!?)

here's the rub:

PowerBook G3/250 running OS 8.5.1 accessing NT servers using DAVE 2.1
extensions loaded include Action GoMac and Action Files, NAV 5.0.3, Conflict
Catcher, RAM Doubler (even though has 160 Meg RAM!), TitlePop, DoubleScroll,
Speed Doubler, NUM

Apps: Office 98 (Word, Excel) MS Outlook for Exchange (from SP 5.5, latest
client), IE 4.5

Problem: (which seems to only have occured since I switched offices from
Sydney (Novell) to Melbourne (NT only)): Every now and then (more now
rather than then) the system goes into an endless loop - when I try to save
a file or boot an app, the system goes away to think about it and never
comes back - just the watch icon telling me to wait... and wait... and
wait... I can't even force quit it.

Any ideas? I could try disabling NAV or SD? Or is this something to do
with the NT server. Asking the sysop to run a service pack or switching on
SFM is out of the question - I am one of about 30 Mac users in an office of
over 1,300 PC users - hence DAVE is installed.
