Re: [WinMac] Files *jumping* around in view by name on mac clients

        G'day, mate!

        This is a known bug in NT4/SP3; and there are several solutions:

        1) Ask the client Macs to use "View by Icon," instead of "View by List;"

        2) Apply the SFM_I.EXE (or SFM_A.EXE) Post-SP3 Hotfix. Note that there
were two of these Hotfixes... Apply the later of the two and this will
partially fix the problem;

        3) Roll out NT4/SP4, and this *will* fix the problem. If you use the
server primarily for Mac file service, then go ahead & let `er rip. If you
have concerns, then roll SP4 out slowly. So far, SP4 for me has behaved
quite well on about 2 dozen servers & workstations, and I've only had one
machine (an old P100 Compaq Prolinea) blow up.

        When applying SP4, or even the Post-SP3 Hotfixes, be sure to update your
Emergency Repair Disk (E.R.D.) using RDISK /S

        Good luck!
