Then don't use analogies of software you've never used and don't know
what you're saying. It's detrimental to the list. I don't care about
Quake II or any other game (I USED to play once in a while...). What I do
care about is people who talk out of other cavities because they feel
compeled to say something.

This is not a personal attack Dan, but in your need to have an answer for
everything you often give long dissertations on stuff you really don't
know too much about or have had little experience with. This hurts the
whole list because people take you at face value and believe what you're
saying and even quote you.

I suggest we take the time to research things and do our best to make
sure that the information we're providing is accurate and replicatable.
If you just heard something or just think that's the way something should
work, then say so! But don't be authoritative on things you're not a 100%
sure of. This of course includes me :)
