        Dear Brian:

        You are right about most of us using NT instead of windoze 3.1/95/98: Us
Mac users and support engineers appreciate quality, and almost all of us
(at least the sane ones!) reject the garbage foisted upon the general public.

        That being said, here are two points:

        1) Most tape drives already come with "shovelware" for basic backup;

        2) UltraBac, which makes enterprise level NT backup software, now has
released a (beta) version for 95/98, with a 45 day free trial. Go to:
 <http://www.ultrabac.com> and click on the "DOWNLOAD" button at the top of
the page;

        3) Why not simply upgrade your pee-cee to NT and see for yourself why all
of us are so happy to begin with? Or are you just as tolerant of the
crashes in 95/98 as you are with the MacOS?!

<shameless plug>
        If you decide to purchase an UltraBac product, please contact me as I
offer discounts on all their products. :)
</shameless plug>

        Cheers!
        Dan
