[WinMac] Novell & Freezing Finder

He uses appletalk to mount a novell network volume on his desktop.
He opens the volume and sees the folders listed in list view. Then
he asks for small icon view, and his finder freezes up.

Does not happen with our MacOS7.5 or 8.1 users. He says it happens
on both 8.5 and 8.51. Any ideas where to look?
