I am going to have to disagree with you along with Curtis. I have a Gateway
that I purchased well over a year ago that has USB on the back. I am sure
many computers were shipped with USB but did not have the ports as well.
But nevertheless I am positive at least Gateways came with USB over a year
ago, and as Curtis said some of the HPs did as well. One of the main
reasons USB had problems was the old chicken and the egg deal, developers
did not want to make hardware if only a few computers had the support for
it. It did take a company like Apple to make an all USB computer to push
developers, however the technology was first used in PCs.
