Don,

One caveat in finding MAC addresses on the newer machines (Late
PPC/G3+); the network card may have to be "initialized" (connected to a
network of some kind) before the address can be read. A discovery
utility is available from Apple for those machines that have already
been/don't need to be connected first- the Apple Lan Utility
(http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n10080). Careful though
kids, it's *unsupported*.
