Actually, from reading Adobe magazine sometime in the last year or so,
that is not necessarily the case. Fonts _can_ be embedded, but they can
also be sub-setted, meaning only the instances of the various letters
and sizes are included. Another possiblity is that it's a custom
Multiple Master instance, and the font you found is a non-MM version
with a similar name.
