        Dear Deb,

        You can drag the Taskbar to the top of the screen, which (sort of) makes
the Start button into the Apple Menu Items... Handy for those of used to
moving the mouse up, rather than down.

        Another thing I do is open up the Profiles and copy the key application
Shortcuts (Alias') to the Desktop for quick launching.

        [BTW, the MacOS Alias Manager makes the windows "Shortcut" seem like junk,
regardless of 95, 98, or NT4.]
