[WinMac] Fw: Tidbit - Broad PC Software Bug Performance is Unacceptable, and Getting Worse...

Here is a piece from another mailing list about software bugs
that I thought might be helpful to people on this list as well.

BugNet is an interesting web site.

--------------------------------

At BugNet, a website dedicated to tracking bugs and bugfixes, they
decided, for the first time in 4 years, not to give out the BugNet
annual award for "best bug fix performance".

Some of the reasons are stated as "... bug fix rates have declined
with every new mass market version of Windows...", and "Fact is, PCs
-- and the software products that animate them -- don't work very
well. The average American would never buy an electric razor, let
alone a chain saw or a mountain bike -- that was as buggy and
unreliable as a PC."

The whole text can be read at:

-------------------------------

Pre-empting Dan S' reply - let me suggest that these 3rd party
implementation issues shouldn't cause anyone to stop and worry.

It'll be fixed with the next release, just download the latest driver ;-)
