I'm not going to argue for or against "windoze", which I think is pretty
minor.

I find it incredibly offensive, however, to be constantly subjected to flaming
about "f#*@ed by Steve again" and "Steveified" in reference to policies that
some bitter individual happens to disagree with. We have had to put up with
extended flame wars going back and forth on stuff like this that is
unproductive for the list and that does nothing constructive to help any of us
solve day to day problems at work.

Fact is that Microsoft's success has been tied to the singular and long term
leadership of one Bill Gates. Fact is that Apple spent a lot of time without a
strong leader and floundered in its policies and market during those years.
Fact is that Steve has managed a significant turnaround. Whether you like Bill
or Steve is irrelevent to getting our work done.

OUR JOB is to see that our computers and networks function and serve our
users. Flaming, complaining and wining doesn't help anyone get their job done.
Fair enough we don't waste bandwidth badmouthing Microsoft or Windows just
for the sake of doing it, and fair enough we shouldn't be subjected to real or
implied four letter references to Steve or Apple.

Let's keep to the substance and help each other get our jobs done.
