Philip,

I have not used Word in the past, but have just started using Office 98
and I did notice that the window opened rather smallish as opposed to
most Mac Apps.

Doing the usual Mac "Option click" in the grow box did nothing, so I
experimented a little and quickly found several ways to get the full
screen window.

1) select View:Full Screen from the View menu
2) select Window:Arrange All from the Window menu
3) an "Option click" in the grow box at this point will toggle between
full screen and an almost full screen.

If you have only one window open, it will be full screen at this point.
If you have two or more windows open, and do the above selections, you
will have a perfectly divided full screen view of the two or more windows.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

It seems a real Mac knowledgeable person is at the helm of Microsoft's
upgrades of Office for Mac. It is a much more Mac User friendly app
than it has been in the past (at least that is what I hear, and it
appears to be so).
