I like the design and think they'll last as long as hardware but options
are always nice.

I'm not sure what you mean by "squishy" but the specs say "Apple USB
Keyboard and Apple USB Mouse." I haven't seen one in person but the
pictures include the same keyboards and mice as the iMacs. MacInTouch's
report on them says they are the same as with the iMacs

I think the keyboard is fine, it has a keypad, arrow keys in the "correct"
positions and function keys (albeit small ones). The mouse however is an
irritation and we'll probably buy a new mouse for every Mac.
