you are misinterpreting the rationale for Aladdin using an older version. it
is an upgrade. if you are uppgrading, you don't have the newer version with
which to unstuff it. right? so using a 3.5 format allows anyone from 3.5 or 4
or whatever to unstuff an upgrade to 5.
