        Depends on the EMail software.

        An EMail client that correctly supports the Mac extensions to
MIME (RFC's 1740 & 1741) would never do a simple "Base64 encoding" of
a file - they'd always do either AppleSingle or AppleDouble w/Base64
encoding.

        If that's what your EMail software does...But as I point out,
it would be a "bad thing" and not in support of the above quoted
RFC's.
