You never actually stated what kind of computer your husband is using,
but I'm assuming it's a PC. I'm also assuming that you want to use the
built in networking on the PC, which normally uses NetBEUI as a
protocol... in which case you should get a copy of Thursby Systems' DAVE.
It's nice and easy, and comes with instructions...
