Using Eudora mailboxes On a PC?

Hi,

Does anyone know how to succesfully use Eudora mailbox files originally
created on a Mac, but which must be imported, or used in a PC?

I tried doing the following but things don't seem to work,

1. converted eudora mac files to dos readable files (using Dos washer 1.1)
and added the suffix ".mbx" to the converted files.

2. copied them over the network to a PC running Windows NT which has
Eudora lite installed on it and replaced the corresponding files (In.mbx,
Out.mbx, etc) as well as added the new ones. I expected it to ask me to
rebuild the table of contentsupon restarting the application and see the
data saved in these files.

While I was able to see the new mailboxes listed in the Eudora interface
(it did not ask to rebuild the files toc) I was unable to read the data the
messages in such files.

it's driving me krrrazy.

please help!
