I have a 4400/DOS. I loaded System 8.1 in a clean install over 7.6.1. I
told the installer to not install new hard disk drivers. Now I (or rather
the computer) can't find the C drive, and I receive an error message when
trying to start up the Windows side.
I then (probably a mistake) reinstalled 1.6.4. and tried to find it
throug PC Setup. No luck.
Am I stuck and must I now reinstall Windows?
I think that the Windows installation is at least still being seen by
whatever software measures the amount of free space on the hard drive,
with the result that I think that I will have to reformat the hard drive
to free up the space for the reinstallation of Windows.
