I don't know about swapping in the drive, though I guess it would work. All I
can say is try, barring dropping it on the floor in the transfer you can't
hurt it.

But yes you CAN have long filenames in Netware 3.12...drove us a bit nuts
until we figured it out, once Novell got around to posting the fix on their website:

Install the OS/2 namespace on all volumes you want long filename support on,
and voila Win95 and NT long filenames.
