        Chris:

I would be careful doing this: Put the jumper ON to write-protect the
drive before trying this.

Another, better, way to do this would be to "stuff" or "zip" the files
into a(n) .SIT or .ZIP archive with 8.3 naming and transfer the files via
ethernet. This way, you can also back up the files by leaving a copy on the
server.

[DON'T make the archive(s) self extracting... That makes them
platform-dependant!]

Aladdin <http://www.aladdinsys.com> now has a shareware Stuffit for Win 95
& NT, and a freeware UnStuffit for 95 & NT. Or if you prefer to "zip" the
files there are a number of shareware zippers for 95 & NT; and Aladdin has
a freeware UnStuffit that will also handle .ZIP files.

Depending on the quality of the network and server hardware, you should
expect to see about 300 kilobytes per second for 10Base-T, and about 1
MB/Sec for 100Base-TX... Your mileage may vary!

        Cheers!
        Dan
