[WinMac] MSOffice 97 EMF graphics to Mac

Hi! First, let me thank all those people who participate in this list
and keep it going. You have saved me many times.
I am, in addition to the Novell fun, trying to get some Windows MS
Office 97 documents created in Powerpoint and Word to print to my
postscript laserwriter (LW Select 310: serial printer). Under normal
circumstances this isn't a problem since the files don't contain many
EMF graphics. Recently I am receiving files with EMF file graphics
imbedded. My printer chokes trying to print them every time.
If I open the files and stop the automatic translation of the graphics,
then I can print the file. The only problem is that the graphic is just
a box with a big X in it. If I let the translation go to completion,
then I can't print the page or slide.
Does anyone know what is happening here? The MS Office support people
tell me that there isn't any problem. Ha! Ha! Ha! But, they won't take
my offer to come an see for themselves.
