[WinMac] a plea regarding email addresses

Hi everyone,

        You probably do not know it, but every day I discover that between
2 and 10 subscriber email addresses are bouncing list mail sent to them,
and I must delete them manually. This would be relatively painless if those
Winmac list members had subscribed from the actual address from which they
read their mail, but it is not infrequently the case that I have to spend
quite a bit of time trying to determine, sometimes in a hit or miss
fashion, which is the originating address that I need to delete. Most
recently, I actually had to contact the postmaster of maclink.net to find
out what was wrong with a certain account whose owner I could not figure
out from Winmac's subscriber lists.

        So I have a plea: if at all possible, please subscribe to Winmac
using the address from which you actually read mail. It is very easy to
unsubscribe (winmac-off@xerxes.frit.utexas.edu) and to resubscribe
(winmac-on@xerxes.frit.utexsa.edu or winmac-digest@xerxes.frit.utexas.edu)
using another address.

        --Marc
