We have been plagued with this problem for about a year, despite applying
every possible fix. It seems to be related to files being incompletely
written to disk on the NT Servers, perhaps as a result of a Mac crashing
while writing a file. Maybe. In any case, restarting the system doesn't
always solve the problem. Most of the time we have to set the system to run
a chkdsk on each drive on startup. Inevitably, chkdsk finds and fixes
various little disk problems, always related to the "Network Trash Folder."
After chkdsking, the system comes up fine, and Mac file sharing works again.
