[WinMac] Difficult to read

        Dear John,

First, I redirected this message back to the ListSERV to get rid of the
">" issue.

I subscribe to several ListSERV's, and this is actually a common problem.
I handle it a bit differently, though: I turn OFF the DIGEST mode and bring
in individual messages -- About 100 per day in total. I have my eMail
clients -- Eudora Pro 3.0.5 (NT) and Eudora Pro 3.1.3 (MacOS) -- filter the
traffic into different mailboxes. It takes a couple of minutes to set it
up; but once you do you'll appreciate how easy it is to actually read --
And manage -- the flow of information. It's certainly easier than having to
wind my way through about a half-dozen crummy 80 column digests every day.

[I also use a monospaced font -- Courier or Monaco -- to read my mail, so
the formatting stays relatively sane.]

        Just my 2 cents...

        Cheers!
        Dan

I know this is slightly off topic, but the list (digest version) is growing
increasingly difficult to read. With different mailers quoting old messages
differently (some at the start of the message, some at the end, some even
after
the signature), people including entire posts in replies and no indication
as to
where one message starts and another one ends. I also have the problem of some
messages appearing as text attachments with no wrapping.
Is there something that can be done about this?
