[WinMac] Difficult to read

I know this is slightly off topic, but the list (digest version) is growing
increasingly difficult to read. With different mailers quoting old messages
differently (some at the start of the message, some at the end, some even after
the signature), people including entire posts in replies and no indication as to
where one message starts and another one ends. I also have the problem of some
messages appearing as text attachments with no wrapping.
Is there something that can be done about this?
