[WinMac] Replacing Hard Drive

Not exactly a cross platform issue... Hard drive was damaged on a
networked Pentium. Replaced drive with a larger unit. Reset Bios to
match drive parameters. Win 95 will not re-load. Goes through setup
and scans and then gives an error message that the computer company felt
was an indication that processor was damaged. I didn't agree and
checked by reinstalling old hard drive. I formatted the old drive and
reinstalled Win 95 with no problems. One person suggested that the new
drive may require low level formatting. Any ideas?

Drive is 5.2 GIGS. Award Bios installed supports this size. Win 95 is
version B.

Also the boot disk provided by the manufacturer seems to set the CD ROM
as rthe Z drive. This doesn't go away after installing Win 95 from the
CD. Each time a CD is loaded, one must manually point the computer to
the D drive.

Last but not least... Reinstalled WEB & ISP software (AT&T Worldnet).
Used it for 20 minutes and it worked fine. Suddenly froze and after
re-booting, it indicates that it can't find the address and that a file
is missing. Won't run setup either.

Looking for a Win 95 expert out there!
