        As I mentioned before, since PDFWriter is a QD/GDI driver, all
bitmapped graphics will end up getting converted to native format
(PICT/WMF) by the application in order to send them to the driver AND THEN
PDFWriter needs to convert them BACK to something it can digest (JPEG, I
think).

        In the case of vector graphics, they should come out pretty well
since PDFWriter converts to the QD/GDI command to the equivalent PS command
- but you do lose PS resolution.
