Be careful how you move the data if you want to retain the original
AppleShare privileges.

I know that in AppleShare Admin, there's a menu entry that allows you to
copy (import) volumes from one location to another which also copies group
and user information for every folder and file, thus retain the original
file and folder privileges. If you were to copy the volumes *in the Finder
at the workstation where AS is running*, you won't have any AppleShare
privileges associated with the files and folders. Let me tell you from
experience that rebuilding these are not fun. :-(

I don't use AtEase, so I'm not sure how that fits into the equation. The
above may not even apply, so be warned. Doesn't Apple have an AtEase FAQ?

Also, no, I don't think the NT server needs to get involved in the
changeover.

FWIW, you can always experiment with a small data sample to iron out
procedural bugs before tackling the whole enchilada.
