[WinMac] FTP Uploading

Hello, a coworker of mine recently got his area hooked up to ethernet. It
is important for him and me to transfer files about 50mb in size to each
other so I figured it would be easiest and cheapest if I setup a ftp server
on my computer (IBM-compatable, his has a Mac). When he logged on he was
able to download files from me however he was unable to upload them to my
computer. I figured this was possibly a problem because he is in a higher
security location and there was a firewall and other items up (that is the
extent to my network knowledge!). He is farily new to computers and thus I
doubt he could setup a ftp server on his computer. Does anybody know a way
that he can get around whatever is blocking him to upload the files to my
computer? I would ask the IS people however since they just got this thing
running over there, they obviously have more important things to do. Thanks
in advance!
