        Dear Sam,

        I'll answer inline for clarity...

        Any standard SMTP/POP3 server will work nicely. I would tend to avoid MS
Exchange 5.5 *ON AN INTEL PLATFORM* because it is buggy.

        Smooth as silk. Just load Services for Macintosh during the Installation,
apply NT4/Service Pack 3, and the latest SFM hotfix and all will go
smoothly.

        1) When you create NTFS partitions, set the cluster size to 2 kilobytes -
This is a good compromise. Do not go below 512 byte cluster size (MFT
fragmentation) or above 4096 bytes (the defragmenting API doesn't work);

        2) Check out <http://www.dcginc.com/linuxsx.htm> for very good deals on
533 mHz Alpha servers... You'll find that NT runs MUCH smoother on the
Alpha platform than it does on the intel platform. And much faster.
And, for the speed, costs less, too! [DCG will install for free the correct
ARC firmware so you can run NT/Seever on anything they sell].

        3) The Alpha version of NT (both Workstation & Server) contains the
full set of binaries for both i386 and Alpha;

        4) Check out <http://www.alphant.com> for more info.
