[WinMac] Power Failure/Elegant Shutdown?

I live in Georgia where we get random power outages lasting for 5 to 15
minutes in the middle of the night about once or twice a month.

Does anyone have experience to share about devices (apc's?) that can help
in the event of a short outage and perhaps shut down an unattended NT
Server automatically if the outage is longer than 15 minutes?.

Does anything similar exist for a Mac?

I prefer to leave my computers running continuously, believing that to be
less stressful than starting up onece a day.

The NT server has to be up continuously.
