This list and the people on it are the most useful source of information.
Most of them know far more then me as many of them are networking
professionals. I'm just a hack in the graphic arts business who has had
to learn how to support Macs on his own because the in-house computer folks
don't really know Macs.

I'm sure there are many web sites with this kind of information as well.

I believe you can if you use a cross-contect cable or better yet, regular
ethernet cables and a mini hub. You'd then need to install something on
the PC side to speak AppleTalk or something on the Mac side to speak to the
PC (something like Dave). Plug in an ethernetable printer and you're
really in business.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm used to sharing files across a file server
so I've not done what you're wanting to do but there's been a lot of
discussion about this lately here on WinMac and also on TidBITS-Talk list.
