While AppleTalk *can* be encapsulated within an IP packet, that is not the
way it works by default. AppleTalk and TCP/IP are two separate protocols,
and the fact that one is working and not the other indicates a
configuration problem, not a hardware problem. I would check the Gateway's
TCP/IP prefs (Control Panel -> Network -> TCP/IP ->Properties) to make sure
they jive with the other computers. In particular, the MS VPN stuff may
have changed that machine's IP address, gateway (or router), etc. I've
never used the MS VPN stuff, so I can't say for sure.
