Depending on how your firewall is configured you may have to enable
proxies in Fetch.

I kind of assume you've done that.

Can you ftp to the firewall, and then change directories (cd) to an ftp
host?

We have a Unix firewall, and I have no problems using Fetch...

One of my users reports a problem using fetch from a mac to a remote
host, but it does not show up when the same request is made using
ftp on an NT machine.

"Apparently we are continuing to have network problems. Fetch on the
MAC reports a server too busy error while on the PC ftp does not
report the same error."
