I liked Gravity (formly from Anawave, now from Microplanet)
<http://www.microplanet.com/> but it's shareware and I didn't go past the
trial period.
Actually on the Mac I use one of the spinoff Newswatchers, MT-Newswatcher.
It adds excellent filtering which can make sifting through heavily
trafficked newsgroups much easier. Programs like Gravity approach
Newswatcher's interface quality but I've yet to find one that also has the
filtering of the spinoffs.

DataViz's MacOpener let's you mount one or the other, not both at the same
time.

I think a list like this could be added to the mailing list's pages without
too much bias.
