I need the little RJ-45 connectors on both ends, right? Where do I get
those
lil' thingies? We're getting an electrician to wire the place and he's
going to be putting the cabling together, I just need to get the materials
for him.

I need the patch panel. Where do I get it, what's it called, etc...

Number one I would not have an electrician wire up your network unless he
knows the specification of wiring a 10-base-T network. Reason 1 it needs
to be in specifications of a Catagory 3 or 5 specs. I would go ahead and
do Cat 5 which will handle 100-baseT. For instance to fit in Cat 5 specs
the twist in the cable can not be more then 1/4 of an inch a part. Make
sure he can test the connections to test for cat 5. Continuity will not
do it.
Do not buy the stuff at Radio Shack. They are very expensive and you can
find much better deals with companys that specialize in networks. PC
Warehouse Communication Warehouse etc...
Go to www.warehouse.com to look up prices and compare them with some
local companys. Also look for a consultant or a company that may be able
to do it. Bid it out you can save lots of money that way.
If you need any more help let me know.
