[WinMac] Confocal microscopy [Was: Jaz disk problem]

When I saw Confocal Microscope, that got my attention! :)

First off, the 8600's need to be running System 7.6.1 -- The 7.5 series
sucks on PCI Macs. Run MacOS8/8.1 at your own risk -- It's faster, but not
as stable.

Second, PC Exchange puts the hidden Desktop Folder(s) & FINDER.DAT files
onto DOS disks so it can store icons & Resource forks. These work fine in
DOS-based machines (including win 95); but for more exotic OS' -- Including
OS/2, NT, OpenVMS and *nix -- sometimes things get fouled up. [Those of us
who have allowed NT's Disk Administrator to write a "safe" signature onto a
disk know what I'm talking about!:) ]

Easiest workaround: Mount the JAZ disk on a 95 machine and then transfer
the data across your 100Base-TX LAN... You *do* have a 100Base-TX LAN,
don't you?!

        Cheers!
