You turn on Appletalk at the printer itself. The QMS has a control pad on
the front where we can change settings. The 12/640 ships with software
(Apple Printer Utility for Macs and LaserWriter Utility for Windows for,
of course, Windows) that gives control over the port settings. This is
explained in the manuals, so maybe your network administrator could help.
I had to teach ours how to do this, but I used to work in Apple's
peripherals tech support group so I should know this stuff.
