When Microsoft Office is installed on WinOS only a limited number of
graphics types are supported, always BMP and I am not sure what else.
Additional graphic types can be supported but the computer administrator
needs to do a custom install of Office and possibly add some supporting
software. Since you don't always have control over the computer systems
of your clients the safe thing to do is convert your graphics to BMP
before putting them into Word documents. That will always work, but also
keep the originals of your graphics in their native file format for
future use.
