Hi:
You could buy a Mac, but I'm not sure about running the sysadmin stuff for Novell.  If a Mac, definitely get a fast one (e.g. PPC G3 300) so you can run VirtualPC more quickly.

I would suggest, since it is a graphics workstation, a 21" monitor and a min. of 256MB RAM (you can never have too much).  With NT and Win95orMacOS8, you'll want LOTS of RAM.  I believe the G3 will max out at 512MB of RAM.

MacOS 8.1 is much more stable, in my experience, than Win95...I have no experience w/ Win98.  IMHO, get the Mac if at all possible.  I use both OSes daily and prefer the MacOS.  Like I said, that is my opinion.  Otherwise Dell and/or HP make good workstations.  Get a PII processor faster than 300Mhz.  I have seen the PII 333 and was not very impressed.  If you bump up the RAM to the max. it'll help.
That's all for now.  If I think of more, I'll write later.

Good luck.
