The "best" option in many cases is the cheapest one that works. If you
already have an NT Server, then spooling over the network from a queue on
that server makes sense. If you do not already have an appropriate print
server then by sharing a locally attached printer from any windows machine
it can be used by any other windows machine that can "see" it. This includes
NT3/4/5 and Win95/98. However to share a locally attached printer to the Mac
community from Windows you'll need NT with its Mac services running in order
to make the appropriate AppleTalk broadcasts and service announcements. Or
you can purchase the software mentioned above.
