For a small network, I recommend PCMacLAN, available from Miramar Systems
(http://www.miramarsys.com). It's rather pricey, but I think it's worth it
when you check out the competition. COPSTalk, one of MacLAN's competitors,
gives me problems when copying files because it copies files with weird file
names. It sort of adds unnecessary characters into the files' names. I've
also had sparratic problems with printing from the Windows machine to a mac
printer. Dave, the most seamless and fastest of the packages, has gross
problems with file names and has caused weird things to happen on my
network. Note that I was never able to serve a printer using Dave. Dave is
installed on the Macs and the PCs and Macs can talk both ways, in other
words the macs can see PCs and the PCs can see macs.

COPSTalk is uni-directional: The PCs can see macs. MacLAN is bi-directional
but requires you to launch the server applet on the PC when you want Macs to
see you. PCs see Macs automatically. Note that Dave also had problems
copying files, leaving me with 0-byte files on the PC.
