[WinMac] users & groups on Mac

I would like to know where I can get some info on the Users & Groups
software that comes with Mac OS 8.1. I'm getting a headache trying to
figure out how I can have a shared folder for guest access and total access
for a workgroup. Currently, if I make a shared folder I can't share the
hard drive due to the shared folder already being shared. The only way I'm
able to log on to the other machines is to log on as the owner of that
machine.

I want guests to be able to log in only to the shared folder (on the
desktop); and I want four other Macs in my workgroup to be able to log to
each of the four machines with full access.

Any info is welcomed.
