Could you explain in more detail what you mean by 'share' an alias.

I have recently loaded VPC and am interested in folder drag and
drop.(Having loaded VPC, I promptly trashed it all, and started over
again, having discovered I'd agreed to the dreaded 'Active Desktop'.
Simply ghastly - but that's another story).
