For anyone else updating a VPC 1.01 image to VPC 2 - I'm using the VPC 2
full CD though I don't "think" the disk image update process is different -
I found 2 final stumbling blocks, 1 fixable, the other less so.
1. Drag-and-drop with folders DOES NOT WORK from Mac to PC desktop until -
wait for it - you share an Alias - ANY alias - residing on the Mac desktop!
This somehow "enables" VPC 2's folder drag-and-drop from Mac to PC. (
Unsharing the alias kills the drag-and-drop again )
( incdientally it was nothing to do with Default Folder as I thought
previously )
2. The emulated Ethernet adaptor doesn't work properly - but this is a
problem I had in VPC 1 as well so maybe there is a way to cure it. I don't
need it so I doubt if I'll find the fix.
Incidentally, anyone using ATM for Windows95 must upgrade to VPC 2.01 - it
clashed with the special mouse functions in VPC Additions 1.01 but
Connectix finally fixed this with VPC 2.01
