Hi!
I'm looking for a product that will allow a Mac to remote control a Windows
NT computer AND for a Windows NT computer to remote control a Mac. I'm
aware of Timbuktu but had major problems using it on one of our NT
computers and ended up having to do a restore from a tape backup. Timbuktu
support thought it had to do with the Matrox video card but it was enough
that I don't want to try on our NT Server! Other NT workstations seemed to
work fine with Timbuktu but this one with the Matrox video is one of the
computers that needs remote control.
Symantec's pcAnywhere and Computer Associates' Remotely Possible don't have
a Mac side so that rules them out. Are there any others?
The Virtual Computer Network just reviewed in the latest TidBITS works
great for a Mac to control a Windows NT computer but they don't have a way
for the WinNT computer to control the Mac. Screen refresh rates were great
going from Mac to WinNT but WinNT to WinNT was very sluggish. Besides, I
need remote control going in both directions.
If anyone has any solutions that they are using please let me know.
Thanks!
