[WinMac] Slow NT continued

        Hi,

Thanks to everyone who has sent me information about my slow NT. I
have had no reports of problems since I remade the shares, but from the
information I was given by this list I have some more questions.

My page file is set to the default that NT would give a machine
with 64m of ram. Should this be changed and if so what to? If I have 2 swap
files should they be the same size, etc?

When I looked at the memory usage in Task Manager it was on a
constant 37m. Which tests in Performanc monitor should I look at to see if
I have a page file or lack of ram problem? I am hoping you can run a test
and just go, wow, no wonder it is slow!!!!

I don't know how badly the raid is defraged. I have always wondered
if you can defrag a raid? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I assumed
a raid would always be fragmented. It is Raidtec raid, running raid 5.

The screen saver was set to the basic black screen. I was told by a
Microsoft enginneer that the hotfix (jumping icons) also addresses memory
and page file issues. I assume this would mean the Technet Article (sorry,
I can't remember the number) regarding amount of ram allocated per files
shared is no longer valid???

Thanks once again for you help. Any comment are gratefully received.

        Best wishes

        Michael.
