Our SMF volumes reside on a 6 GB disk, partitioned into 2 GB partitions.

I've seen disk checking initiated automatically at boot time, but I didn't
notice if it as repairing problems specifically on SFM-served volumes.

We aren't using Hotfix yet...this is one reason we are still using 7.6.1 on
the macs.

I've seen extreme slow downs on the NT machine itself (in addition to the
Ethernet performance issues I mentioned previously) -- but I've never known
what the problem really is. It does not seem reproducible here.

Finally, a belated thanks to those that responded publicly and privately to
my original question...I've been swamped recently.
