Norbert,

Novell is rather outspoken about its non-support of Macs. I don't think a
real update tot he Mac 5.x client is going to happen.

I suggest you try the following.

- You friend's Groupwise account needs a password. But it probably
has one if he can use the browser client. This will not work with a
password-less account.
- Find out the ip address of the web server used with the browser
connection. Several ways to do this are available. OTTool comes to mind.
- Once you have the ip address of the web server, use it as a POP
mail address for Eudora. It is likely the Groupwise IP gateway is on the
same address as the web server. I believe that a POP mail client is a
standard part of the gateway in Groupwise 5.x. Ours was there the day the
5.1 Gateway was installed.

This method does not do any maintenance of the Groupwise account. That
would have to be done with the browser or PC client.

The browser client leaves much to be desired.

Hope this helps some.
