I have a PowerBook 2400 as my only Mac. I *love* having all my email,
links, files, etc. in one place. Anywhere I plug in to get my email, it's
all there.
I eventually bought 2 keyboards and 2 monitors -- one for the office and
one for home because I do so much work from both places. However, I'm just
as productive on the road.

If you leave your work at the office, get a desktop -- better bang for the
buck. If you work outside the office, too, get a PowerBook.
